Celebrate National S’mores Day (Aug. 10) with an archery competition, delightful dinner stations, live music, and s’more!

Roundup River Ranch, a nonprofit that enriches the lives of children with serious illnesses and their families by offering free, medically-supported camp programs, announced details for The Bullseye Roundup, a brand-new event that caters to the next generation of donors, sponsors, and volunteers. The event will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 5:30 p.m. at Casteel Creek. Funds raised from The Bullseye Roundup supports Roundup River Ranch’s free camp programs for hundreds of children coping with serious illnesses.

“We’re excited for the first edition of The Bullseye Roundup that will give guests a chance to experience a core camp activity  in a fun – and maybe competitive – way, while learning more about Roundup River Ranch,” said Sarah Johnson, president and CEO of Roundup River Ranch. “This event welcomes the next generation of supporters, as they create lasting memories by making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with serious illnesses.”

Guests will also be able to wander the 457 acre property of pristine meadows, mountains, forests and streams in Edwards, CO, and since August 10 marks National S’mores Day, participants will be able to enjoy a twist on s’mores and experience the fun of camp. Clea Newman, esteemed philanthropist and advocate, will be in attendance at the event to participate in a meet and greet and showcase her commitment to the mission and values of Roundup River Ranch and The SeriousFun Children’s Network. Additionally, 2020 Paralympic Archery Gold Medalist, Kevin Mather, will assist with a friendly archery competition. In between activities, guests will enjoy delightful food stations and live music by The Turntable Revue, a local band from Minturn.

“Just like s’mores, archery is another summer camp staple and I can’t wait to show attendees exactly how it’s done!,” said Kevin Mather, 2020 Paralympic Archery Gold Medalist. “I appreciate that Roundup River Ranch provides the sport as a  camp activity, offering adaptations that play to the strengths of each child and I’m so excited to be a part of The Bullseye Roundup.”

To raise additional funds, Roundup River Ranch will host an online auction the week of the event in partnership with its annual A Grateful Harvest gala, held on Saturday, August 12. The online auction will close on Sunday, August 13. This fundraiser will also include a live event auction with unique items! The Bullseye Roundup was made possible by our sponsors, Lisa Watson and Mike Krupka; Barbara Gardner and Bill Sterrett; The Borgen Family Foundation; Trish Weber; Balance Point Construction; Peak 1 Express, FOODsmith, Lynx Grills, First Western Trust, and Vail Daily.
