The Bureau of Labor Statistics released its benchmark revisions for the 2025 Colorado non-farm employment series. The data is reasonable, but the revisions were not kind. 

More specifically, Colorado was one of fifteen states that posted a negative change in employment in 2025. The scary thing is that this occurred when the U.S. was not in a recession. Our neighbors in Idaho, Utah, and Texas fared much better.

This analysis focuses only on the Colorado labor market. Before the end of the month, BLS will release additional data that will allow us to take an initial look at what is happening in Colorado this year.
