What inspired you to start your business?

House of Vibes was born from a dream Ana and I have shared since we first got together in 2020. We both came from corporate careers that we genuinely enjoyed, but we kept finding ourselves drawn to coffee shops—not just for the coffee, but for the conversations, the connections, and the feeling of belonging.

We wanted to create what we believe every community deserves: a true third space. A place where people can slow down, feel welcomed, and leave feeling just a little better than when they walked in.

Our world feels divided in so many ways, sometimes over things as simple as which coffee shop someone prefers. We’ve never wanted to be part of that. We genuinely cheer on other local coffee shops because we believe a thriving coffee community benefits everyone. Our goal has never been to be better than anyone else—it’s simply to create a space filled with kindness, warmth, and good coffee where everyone feels like they belong.

And honestly? We also wanted a career where we could enjoy our favorite legal drug while having great conversations with incredibly interesting people every day.

How would you describe your business in one sentence?

House of Vibes is a warm, welcoming coffee shop built to bring people together, one cup and one conversation at a time.

If someone walked into your business for the first time, what experience would you hope they have?

We hope they immediately feel like they can exhale.

Whether they’re celebrating something exciting, having a rough day, meeting a friend, or simply enjoying a quiet moment alone, we want House of Vibes to feel comfortable, cozy, and welcoming. We want people to feel seen—not rushed. We hope they leave thinking, “I can’t wait to come back.”

What’s one thing your team is proud of that people may not see behind the scenes?

The culture we’ve built.

Our team genuinely cares about one another and about every person who walks through our doors. We celebrate birthdays, support each other through hard times, remember our regulars’ drinks, ask about their families, and try to make every interaction feel personal. None of that happens by accident—it’s something we intentionally work on every day.

What’s a goal you’re working toward this year?

Right now, our biggest goal isn’t opening another location.

We’re focused on making our Silverthorne and Avon shops the best they can possibly be while continuing to become a place our local community truly calls their own. We also recently built a mobile coffee cart so we can bring House of Vibes to more community events around the valley.

If people think of House of Vibes as their coffee shop, we’ll know we’re doing something right.

What makes doing business in the Vail Valley unique?

The Vail Valley has an incredible mix of visitors from around the world and locals who make this community what it is.

While we’re always grateful for every visitor who stops in, our hearts are with the locals. Those are the relationships we get to build over months and years. Watching kids grow up, celebrating milestones, catching up over coffee—that’s what makes this community so special.

Our hope is that House of Vibes becomes more than somewhere to grab coffee. We hope it becomes a place where people feel known, where friendships grow, and where community happens naturally over a cup of coffee.
